Sioux Falls, S.D. (August 24, 2009) - The Sioux Falls Skyforce announced today the hiring of Amanda Simon as Game Operations Director/Group Sales Manager. In her position she will strive to enhance the game night experience for Skyforce fans and sell group tickets while continuing her role as Skyleader Director.
Originally from Brandon, S.D., Simon graduated from the University of Sioux Falls in May of 2008 with degrees in Communication Studies/Theatre and Fine Arts with an emphasis in Painting. She most recently served as a graduate assistant in the USF theatre department while pursuing a Master's of Education degree. In addition to being a G.A., she worked part time as the Canaries Little Birds coach and Production Manager of the children's theatre for USF. The former Skyleader (2006-08) has also appeared in local productions of Chicago, Fame, Godspell and Seussical the Musical.
"Amanda has been an important part of our organization for the last three years and we are excited for her transition into the front office," said Skyforce owner/president Mike Heineman.
Season tickets and 12-ticket flex packs are on sale for the 2009-10 season. Discounts and benefits are also available for groups of 10 or more. Single game tickets will go on sale in early November.
