Syracuse Mets News Release
SYRACUSE (NY) - The Syracuse SkyChiefs and Time Warner Sports 26 have teamed up to provide live television broadcasts of twenty-one games this season. The first telecast of the season was Opening Day 2006 and the rest of the schedule begins with tonight's game vs. the Pawtucket Red Sox.
Time Warner Sports will provide live broadcasts of all Wednesday and Thursday SkyChiefs home games the rest of the season along with the Saturday July 29th game vs. Charlotte, when the 2006 Syracuse Baseball Wall of Fame Inductions will take place.
Bob McElligott will handle the play-by-play duties and the color commentary will be provided by former Major League pitchers Steve Grilli and Mark Lukasiewicz.
"Time Warner Sports is pleased to team up with the SkyChiefs to offer our subscribers more live and exclusive baseball than ever before," said General Manager Doug Logan. "We greatly value our marketing partners, and anxiously anticipate the first pitch of what should prove to be a most exciting season,"
"This aggressive marketing partnership with Time Warner Sports 26 brings SkyChiefs baseball into over 600,000 homes in Upstate New York," said SkyChiefs General Manager John Simone. "This deal continues our off-season efforts to advance our multi-media package giving SkyChiefs fans near and far the most complete access to their hometown team."
