Skycats defuse Fusion to stay perfect at home

Mahwah-The New Jersey Skycats bounced back after a tough defeat the night before against the Fusion and notched their second straight home win beating Philadelphia 95-77 at the Bill Bradley center.

Edmund Sanders led the Cats with 31 points and 16 rebounds including 13 points in the third quarter. Derick Washington added 17 points, and Nick Boyd chipped in with 18 points. Philadelphia was led by Ronald Roundtree with 15 points.

The Skycats took a commanding lead in the first quarter going on a 12-0 run to give the Skycats a 20-8 lead and the Cats never looked back as they never trailed from that point on.

The Skycats were up 46-35 at the half, and opened the 3rd quarter with an 8-2 run to take 54-37 lead. Philadelphia stayed in the game even though featured scorer Lawrence Moton struggled from the field by only scoring five points and shot 1-9 from the field. The Fusion scored 22 points off of the Skycat 34 turnovers, but still struggled to come all the way back from the large deficit.

This is the second straight home game that the Skycats have held there opponents to under 35% shooting and out rebounded their opponents.
