COLORADO SPRINGS, CO - On Friday, August 21, 2015, the Colorado Springs Sky Sox welcomed Derek Miller, a native of Colorado Springs, through the front gates of Security Service Field as the seven millionth fan to attend a regular season Sky Sox game. Miler was attending the game with his son Gabe (2) and wife Courtney when they were stopped just inside the gate and met by a large contingent of Sky Sox staffers and much fanfare.

For being the seven millionth fan, Miller was awarded with a gift basket including Sky Sox merchandise, a signed team baseball and two season tickets for the 2016 season. In addition, Miller was invited onto the field before the game to throw out a ceremonial first pitch.

"It was a total shock but very fun," said Miller. "I've been coming to Sky Sox games for years but it was the first time for my son at Security Service Field so it's a special and exciting night for our family."

Over the 28-year history of Security Service Field, the Sky Sox have enjoyed tremendous fan support. Most recently, the Sky Sox surpassed 300,000 fans for the seventh-straight season in 2014. A fixture in the Colorado Springs community, the Sky Sox continue to provide the most affordable family entertainment in Southern Colorado.

The 2015 Sky Sox season is in full swing at Security Service Field. For ticket information, game schedule, promotions calendar or for additional information about the Sky Sox, call (719) 597-1449, visit SkySox.com, like us on Facebook or follow the team on Twitter at @skysox.
