Fresno Grizzlies News Release

FRESNO, Calif. (Friday, August 21) - The historic 2015 Fresno Grizzlies are continuing their march towards the postseason and today the club announced that tickets to all five potential playoff games at Chukchansi Park are on sale now.

Individual playoff tickets, group options, luxury suites, and multi-game packages are available for purchase at the Chukchansi Park Box Office, over the phone at 559.320.TIXS, or through FresnoGrizzlies.com. Individual tickets start as low as $10, with packages that include a ticket to each of the five possible home playoff games starting at $50. Fans can save up to 45% by purchasing a five-game playoff pack, while those looking to bring out a group are encouraged to call Andrew Milios (Director of Sales) at 559.320.2533.

The Grizzlies will host the Pacific Southern Division winner on Wednesday, September 9th and Thursday, September 10th at Chukchansi Park for Game 1 and 2 of the opening round of the playoffs. Both games are scheduled to start at 7:05 PM and will mark the first ever playoff games hosted in Downtown Fresno, since the last time the Grizzlies hosted a postseason game was in 1998 against Calgary when they played at Pete Beiden Field. Fresno would then travel to the opponent city for Game 3, 4*, and 5*, with the winner moving onto the Pacific Coast League Championship. Their opening round opponent either will be the Las Vegas 51s, Triple-A affiliate of the New York Mets, or the El Paso Chihuahuas, Triple-A affiliate of the San Diego Padres. The Chihuahuas currently own a 0.5 game lead on the 51s in the Pacific Southern Division entering Friday.

If the Grizzlies advance past the opening round and to the PCL Championship, they would host Game 3, 4*, and 5* in Downtown Fresno from Friday, September 18th through Sunday, September 20th. The champion of the Pacific Coast League then moves on to play the champion of the International League in a winner-take-all game in El Paso, Texas at Southwest University Park on Tuesday, September 22nd. The Gildan Triple-A National Championship is to be nationally televised on NBC Sports Network.

The 2015 Fresno Grizzlies are 77-48 and own a 14.5 game first-place lead with 18 to play. Their magic number to clinch the Pacific Northern Division and a postseason berth is five, with any combination of wins and division-opponent losses shrinking the number down. Fresno enters Friday night's 7:05 PM game at Chukchansi Park with a season-high 10-game win streak and an 18-1 record in the month of August.

Fresno is on pace to shatter the franchise record for wins in a season (81, 1998), as well as many offensive marks. The Grizzlies currently possess the highest scoring offense in the PCL and rank second overall in Minor League Baseball.

Fresno Grizzlies season-ticket holders (STH) were offered the first chance to purchase playoff tickets last week when the club sent out letters in the mail and followed up by phone and email. For those STH who need to speak with their representative about playoff tickets and/or 2016 renewals, please contact the front office at 559.320.HITS.

In the event the Grizzlies do not make the playoffs or advance to the PCL Championship, full refunds will be available for any unplayed games at the point of purchase. The value for unplayed games can also be used towards a 2016 home game^, mini plan, half-season, or full-season ticket package.
