Sky Carp Take Fourth Win in Five Games

PEORIA, Ill.- The Beloit Sky Carp continue their outstanding stretch run in the 2023 season with an 8-6 win over Peoria Saturday night.
The Sky Carp got off to a 6-0 lead, banged out 13 hits and hung on for the win, the team's fourth in five games this series.
Cameron Barstad continued his terrific series with a 3-for-4 performance that included three doubles. Javier Sanoja cranked his third home run of the season, and Yiddi Cappe and Torin Montgomery each added two hits for Beloit.
Karson Milbrandt got the start for Beloit and allowed just two runs in 4 2-3 innings of work. Milbrandt struck out seven. Will Stewart (1-0) picked up the win with 1 2-3 scoreless innings, while Kyle Crigger picked up his third save of the season after working the final two innings. Beloit will finish its 2023 schedule with the Chiefs with a 1:05 game Sunday afternoon.
The Beloit Sky Carp are the High-A Affiliate of the Miami Marlins and play their games at ABC Supply Stadium -- the heart of the Riverbend District.
