Skole's Legendary Walk-Off Grand Slam Lifts Suns over Lexington

Hagerstown, MD - Hagerstown Suns (66-45/24-18) third baseman Matt Skole blasted a ninth inning grand slam to rally Hagerstown past the Lexington Legends (61-50/22-20), 6-3, at Municipal Stadium on Friday night.

Skole, who has now homered in three consecutive games, continues to lead the South Atlantic League with 25 homers on the season. Skole has three of the Suns nine walk-off hits this season, and the grand slam was his second his second, the team's sixth.

Suns reliever L.J. Hollins pitched three scoreless innings after starter Blake Schwartz went five innings for a no-decision. Colin Bates (7-3) earned the win.

The Suns will game two with the Legends (Astros) on Saturday night at 7:05 p.m. when LHP Bobby Hansen, Jr. (2-3, 4.63) takes the mound against Lexington's LHP David Rollins (0-0, 16.20).
