
Skills day lineups, captains announced

Brandon, Manitoba - The Honorary Captains and lineups have been unveiled for this Sunday's 4th Annual Investors Group Wheat Kings' Skills Day at the Keystone Centre.
12-year old Chelsey Kostesky of the Hamiota Huskies and Birtle Bruins Bradley Tomiski have been chosen to serve as the Honorary Captains for this year's event, which is held annually to raise money for the Westman Dreams for Kids "Goals for Kids" Campaign. This year marks the debut of Investors Group as the Title Sponsor of this event.
Kostesky will skate with Team White, coached by Heather Prosak and Tyler Glen from 94.7 Star FM while Tomiski will lead Team Black, to be handled from the bench by Frank "Shotgun" McGwire and Breanne Cancade of 101.1 FM The Farm. Heather enters Sunday afternoon's game with a perfect 3-0 record behind the bench during this event, which is scheduled to get underway at 2 p.m.
In addition to skating with their favorite players, Chelsey and Bradley will receive a Wheat Kings' replica jersey. The two were selected from over 200 entries received from minor hockey players across western Manitoba.

Among the events that the players will be participating in will include Accuracy, Hardest Shot, Fastest Skater, Three-on-O and Team Breakaways.
Tickets for this Sunday's Skills Day are just $2 and will be available at the door or in advance at the Wheat Kings' office, Investors Group as well as at BDO Dunwoody Fan Services during this Saturday night's game between the Wheat Kings and visiting Calgary Hitmen at the Keystone.
The busy afternoon will conclude with a special autograph session at 4 p.m. in the Keystone Centre's Pioneer Lounge. Music during the event will be provided by Dean Stewart and Howling the Night Away Productions.
