Regina SK ---- The Regina Pats along with the RCMP & City Police are pleased to announce they will conclude the inaugural season of "Project First Goal" on Wednesday, March 1st at W.S. Hawrylak School, beginning at 9:15AM.

Last October six members of the Pats traveled to Vancouver, BC along with members of the RCMP and Regina Police Service. During their two-day stay in Vancouver, Project First Goal team members visited the Hastings's District, as well as a local hospital learning the effects that substance abuse has on all levels of society.

Project First Goal members made eighteen visits to Regina area schools over four months, reaching over 1,400 students in grades six & seven through interactive presentations.

"Project First Goal was an overwhelming success not only for the students we reached through the presentations, but also for our players who saw first-hand the dangerous and real consequences of drug use," commented Pats Community Relations Coordinator Kim Flaman. "This program has had unbelievable support from the entire community and we look forward to continuing this project with the RCMP & City Police for years to come," added Flaman.
