
Skeeters Sign Ryan Adams

SUGAR LAND, Texas - The Sugar Land Skeeters and manager Gary Gaetti announced the signing of infielder/outfielder Ryan Adams prior to the finale with Long Island on Sunday. Adams spent a season in the Major Leagues with the Orioles in 2011.
Adams, 28, was drafted by Baltimore in the second-round of the 2006 Draft from Jesuit High School in New Orleans. A career .281 hitter in the minor leagues, the infielder/outfielder has 49 home runs and 256 RBI paired with a .423 slugging percentage. This past season, Adams hit .312 with the Chattanooga Lookouts, the double-A affiliate of the Dodgers, with 12 doubles and 10 RBI. At the Major League level, he hit .281 with four doubles and seven RBI in 29 games during the early portion of the 2011 season.
