WALDORF, Md. - The Sugar Land Skeeters overcame a 2-0 deficit in the top of the ninth to come-from-behind and win 4-3 over the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs at Regency Furniture Stadium in front of 5,415 fans. The win improves the Skeeters' record to 37-32 on the year.

Josh Geer turned in a quality start for Sugar Land, going 7.0 innings, allowing two runs on nine hits with no walks and five strikeouts. He earned a no-decision after the Skeeters scored two in the ninth to tie the game.

After Sugar Land squandered a bases-loaded scoring opportunity in the top of the inning, Southern Maryland struck for the game's first run in the bottom of the third. Casey Stevenson singled to left field off Geer and advanced to second on a wild pitch before moving up to third on a fly ball to center. Following a strikeout for the second out of the inning, Anthony Vega doubled to left, bringing in Stevenson and staking the Blue Crabs to an early 1-0 lead.

In the bottom of the fifth, the Blue Crabs added another run on a solo shot from Jamar Walton to increase the lead to 2-0. Following the long ball, both pitching staffs settled in and threw shutout frames until the top of the ninth.

With Blue Crabs' closer, Erik Hamren on the mound, Travis Scott sparked a rally with a one-out double to left. Joe Benson reached on an error by the third baseman to put the tying run on-base. Benson would advance to second on a wild pitch before an RBI groundout from Johan Limonta moved the tying run just 90-feet away. For the second-straight night, Kevin Russo came up with a clutch ninth-inning RBI, this time with a single to center to bring in Benson and tie the game at two.

Robbie Weinhardt stranded the bases-loaded in the bottom of the ninth to force extra innings. With the newfound momentum, Patrick Palmeiro kicked off the bottom of the 10th with a double to left and moved up to third on a sacrifice bunt from Denny Almonte. In his fourth game with Sugar Land, Ryan Adams blasted a monster home run to break the tie and put the Skeeters on top for the first time, 4-2.

John Lujan opened the bottom of the frame on the mound for the Skeeters, but was lifted after surrendering a walk and two singles to cut the score to 4-3. Derrick Loop entered with runners on the corners and one out and a 4-3 lead. He earned his fifth save of the year by inducing a shallow flyout to center and fanning Walton to complete the comeback for Sugar Land, 4-3.
