
Skeeters Pitching Lights out in 4-1 Victory over Revolution

SUGAR LAND, TEXAS - The Sugar Land Skeeters received some more great pitching in a 4-1 victory over York Revolution on Saturday night. The Skeeters are 10-7 in the second half and two games ahead of York for 1st place in the Freedom Division.
Roy Merritt earned his 4th win in another dominant performance, going six innings, giving up one run on two hits with seven strikeouts and a walk. Ty'Relle Harris picked up his 4th loss, going six innings and giving up four runs on five hits with four strikeouts and five walks.
Jeff Dominguez gave the Skeeters a 2-0 lead in the 2nd on a triple that would score Travis Scott and Jeremy Barfield. Beamer Weems' groundout to York shortstop Josh Wilson allowed Dominguez to score, making it 3-0. Johan Limonta would push the lead to 4-0 with an RBI single in the 4th that would bring home Jeff Dominguez.
York was able to add a run off of Roy Merritt in the 5th on a single by Ryde Rodriguez that would score Bryan Pounds to make it 4-1. The Skeeters bullpen was lights out in the later innings and Derrick Loop would shut the Revolution down in the 9th for his 19th save of the season.
