Skeeters Home Opener Set for Thursday, April 21

SUGAR LAND, TX - The Skeeters begin the new season at Constellation Field with the 2016 Home Opener on Thursday, April 21 against the Bridgeport Bluefish beginning at 7:05 p.m. CT. Gates will open at 5:30 p.m. CT. Bridgeport returns to Sugar Land after going 4-15 against the Skeeters in 2015. Parking is free for all Skeeters home games. Season tickets, eight game ticket plans and flex books can be purchased at the Skeeters ticket office or online at www.SugarLandSkeeters.com.

OPENING DAY FESTIVITIES

ESPN 97.5's AJ Hoffman and Fred Faour from "The Blitz" will be broadcasting live from Constellation Field from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. CT. The National anthem will be sung by Tarik Clark and will include a stadium fly-over courtesy of Houston Wing CAF.

Thurs. April 21 vs. Bridgeport 7:05 p.m. (Post-game fireworks: $2 Beers and Sodas from 5:30-7:00 p.m.)

Fri. April 22 vs. Bridgeport 7:05 p.m. (Post-game fireworks sponsored by Texas State Tech College)

Sat. April 23 vs. Bridgeport 6:05 p.m. (Hat Giveaway sponsored by MemberSource Credit Union)

Sun. April 24 vs. Bridgeport 2:05 p.m. (Pre-game: Kids play catch on the field, players available for autographs. Post-game: Kids run the bases courtesy of Dr. Larry Caldwell)

Mon. April 25 vs. Lancaster 7:05 p.m. (Military Monday: Two free tickets with proof of military ID, $1 Hot Dogs and $2 Margaritas

Tues. April 26 vs. Lancaster 7:05 p.m. (Two-Steppin' Tuesday: Half-Price group tickets and $2 specials throughout the ballpark.

Wed. April 27 vs. Lancaster 7:05 p.m. (Winning Wednesday/Halfway to Halloween: Select prizes during the game throughout the ballpark, $8 tickets for fans who wear a costume.

About the Sugar Land Skeeters

Led by former Major Leaguer Gary Gaetti, the Skeeters play at Constellation Field, a state-of-the-art stadium located at the intersection of State Highway 6 and U.S. Highway 90A in Sugar Land.

The Skeeters play 140 regular season games in the Atlantic League, which offers an open classification of play, the highest level of professional baseball other than Major League Baseball.
