
Skeeters Fall Short of Record Again in 3-0 Shutout by Bluefish

After a day off the Skeeters would take their second shot at setting the new Atlantic League record for wins in a season, but fall short for the second time, as they were shutout by the Bridgeport Bluefish 3-0.
The Bluefish scored two in the second inning to take a 2-0 lead and it stayed that way until the fifth, when Bridgeport made it 3-0 on a Luis Lopez homerun and that would be your final. Bridgeport starter Trevor Reckling threw six shutout inning of two-hit ball and the bullpen did the rest, as the Bluefish win game one. Lost in this one was a solid outing by Michael Nix, despite taking the loss he went six innings and allowed three runs.
Up Next: In game two of this three-game series against the Bluefish, Sugar Land sends out RHP Greg Aquino (7-3, 3.72) vs. RHP Keith Bilodeau (1-3, 4.17) for Bridgeport.
