Skeeters' Bats Give York Pitchers Nightmares on Friday the 13th

YORK, PA - The Skeeters bats came to life on Friday night, beating the Revolution 9-4, at PeoplesBank Park in York, PA.

The Revolution got out to an early lead when they put two runs on the board in the second. Keith Castillo doubled home James Simmons and then scored himself on a single by Jason Repko.

After a few quiet innings, the Skeeters exploded in the middle frames. Jeff Dominguez led off the fourth with a home run to start the scoring. The next batter, Tosoni, tripled and scored three batters later when Barfield doubled to left. Tosoni added an RBI in the fifth when he recorded the second out with a sacrifice fly to center that allowed Josh Prince to score. A two-out rally ensued and was capped off by a Matthes double that brought in two and a home run by Travis Scott which did the same.

After a two-run home run by Telvin Nash in the bottom of the fifth, Tosoni struck again with a bases loaded double that drove in two. Parker Frazier picked up his league-leading fourth win for the Skeeters after throwing five innings and allowing four runs (three earned). The bullpen grouping of Velasquez, Weinhardt, Zinicola and Loop combined for four scoreless innings to keep the Revolution at bay.

The Skeeters continue the quick three-game road trip against York tomorrow at 6:30 p.m before returning home for a Tuesday matinee.
