
Skeeters Acquire Tim Gustafson

SUGAR LAND, Texas - The Sugar Land Skeeters and manager Gary Gaetti announced the signing of pitcher Tim Gustafson prior to the contest with Lancaster on Thursday.
Gustafson, 30, spent the first seven seasons of his professional career in affiliated baseball before transitioning to the Atlantic League. A ninth-round pick in the 2006 draft by the Braves, Gustafson advanced as high as Triple-A with the Reds in 2012. He holds a career record of 36-60 with a 4.91 ERA over 789.1 innings pitched. Last year in Bridgeport, Gustafson went 2-5 with a career-best 2.39 ERA over 57 games, compiling six saves over 64.0 innings.
