Think you have what it takes? Test out your hockey skills at the second annual Saginaw Spirit Skate Shoot Score Skills Competition, presented by the Bay Regional Medical Center. The competition will take place over the course of February, with the finals taking place prior to the Spirit home game on February 17th home game!
Compete in categories like Fastest Skater, Shooting Accuracy, Breakaway Shootout, Hardest Shot and more. There is a also a competition for the goalies! The competition is open to boys and girls of the following age groups:
1) 2001 born and under (6 and under)
2) 1999 - 2000 (ages 7 - 8)
3) 1997 - 1998 (ages 9 - 10)
4) 1994 - 1996 (ages 11 - 13)
All registrants will receive a Spirit puck, event T-shirt, and Spirit ticket voucher which can be used for any home game. The winner of each age group in each category will receive a commemorative medal and will exhibit their skills between periods Spirit game on February 17th. Finalists will receive a Jersey for this final event.
The cost to register is $20 per participant and may be sent with a registration form to Saginaw Spirit, Attention: Adam Bell, 5789 State Street, Suite #2, Saginaw, Michigan 48603. Make checks payable to the Saginaw Spirit Foundation.
