 Sudbury Wolves

Size Analysis

April 15, 2015 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Sudbury Wolves News Release

The Sudbury Wolves added more size to their roster as a result of the weekend's OHL Priority Selection as the sixteen players that they selected averaged 5'11" in height and 170 lbs in weight. These numbers are matched exactly by the Sault Greyhounds and the Barrie Colts.

Guelph, Owen Sound, Sarnia also selected players that averaged 5'11" in height. There were 12 OHL teams that selected players that averaged 6' in height and 174 lbs in weight. The teams that drafted the smallest players on average included the Kitchener Rangers and the London Knights.

The Knights' players averaged 5'10" in height and 157 lbs in weight. Given the success of the London Knights over the past five seasons, it appears that size doesn't really matter.

The Sudbury Wolves will host the annual Spring Development Camp on April 25th and 26th at the Countryside Arena. The newest Sudbury Wolves will practice from 1 - 2 pm on Saturday and will scrimmage and practice on Sunday from 9 - 11 am. Admission is free of charge.
