The Sudbury Wolves Hockey Club, once again, enjoy the highest number of prospects attending the OHL GOLD CUP to be held in Kitchener on May 7 - 10th, among OHL teams. A total of 125 players born in 1999 were selected to participate in the OHL GOLD CUP with 9 of those players having been recently drafted by the OHL's Sudbury Wolves including six forwards, two defencemen and one goaltender.
The Wolves' prospects selected to the OHL Gold Cup rosters include:
David Levin 1st round selection Forward
Shane Bulitka 2nd round selection Forward
Macauley Carson 2nd round selection Forward
Owen Lane 3rd round selection Forward
Conor Ali 3rd round selection Defence
Ben Garagan 5th round selection Forward
Donovan Cowan 6th round selection Defence
Jake McGrath 8th round selection Goaltender
Declan Hilton 9th round selection Forward
Hockey Canada's Program of Excellence will advance 30 players participating in the 2015 OHL GOLD CUP to Hockey Canada's national U17 camp to held this summer in Calgary. Three teams will then be selected from the national camp to compete in the 2015 World Challenge Cup to be held in November, 2015.
Sudbury Wolves hockey fans will have the opportunity to see the Wolves' OHL Gold Cup participants and all of the newly drafted prospects at the 2015 Sudbury Wolves Development Camp to be held on April 25 and 26th at the Countryside Arena. Admission to the on-ice sessions is free of charge.
The Sudbury Wolves will also be offering a "weekend special" on all Sudbury Wolves season ticket purchases at the Countryside Arena on April 25th and 26th only. Call the Sudbury Wolves office for further details.
