
Sixers Comeback Falls Short Versus JetHawks

San Bernardino, CA- The Inland Empire 66ers of San Bernardino dropped a 7-4 decision to the Lancaster on Saturday in front of 5,172 fans at San Manuel Stadium. The Sixers brought the winning run to the plate in the ninth inning, but Justin Lawrence (SV, 2)got a strikeout to end the contest and give the JetHawks their first win against the Sixers in 2018.
Matt Dennis (1-3) got his first win of the season for Lancaster (8-9) tossing 6.1 innings allowing two runs (one earned) on seven hits with three strikeouts and two walks. Nate Bertness (0-2) took a loss in six innings for the Sixers allowing four runs on six hits with one walk and three Ks. Tyler Nevin had three hits for the JetHawks including a pair of doubles. Kevin Williams had a three-hit night for the Sixers including his first double of the season.
