Six-run seventh sends Camden to victory

Camden, N.J. â Jim Bullinger pitched seven scoreless innings to lead the Camden Riversharks over the Nashua Pride, 6-0, on Friday night in the opener of a three-game series at Campbell's Field. The game was played before 7,086 fans, the largest crowd at Campbell's Field during the 2004 season.
Bullinger kept the Riversharks in a scoreless game until the bats came alive in bottom of the seventh inning. The Riversharks sent 10 hitters to the plate as they ripped six hits and scored all six runs in the contest during that frame.
Looking for just one run to break a 0-0 contest, Troy Cameron led off the inning for the Riversharks with a double to left centerfield. After Dwight Maness struck out, Travis Anderson produced the first run of the game with an RBI-single.
Two pitchers and five batters later, the Riversharks put the game out of reach as Ryan Jones finished the scoring with a two-run double that scored Brad Strauss and Stoney Briggs.
Wayne Krenchicki then turned the game over to the bullpen as Todd Rizzo pitched two scoreless innings to end the contest.
Bullinger, who struck out four and allowed five hits, improved his record to 2-0 on the year since joining the Riversharks in the middle of August.
Eight of the nine Camden starters recorded at least one hit as they finished the night with a game-high 10 hits.
The Riversharks and Nashua Pride will be back at it on Saturday night when Ben Simon takes the hill for Camden against Nashua's Bubba Hardwick. Kids run the bases after the game presented by Silver Diner. Tickets are still available and can be purchased by calling 866-SHARKS-9 or by visiting the Campbell's Field ticket office during normal business hours.
