Six Mooseheads Players on NHL Central Scouting List

Halifax Mooseheads' General Manager Marcel Patenaude announced today that six players from the Halifax Mooseheads' protected list have been listed in the NHL Central Scouting Mid-Term Ranking of Domestic Players.

Three players from the Mooseheads current roster, goaltender Jeremy Duchesne, defenceman Jean-Francois Brault and centre Justin Saulnier appear on the list.

Duchesne, 18, acquired by the Mooseheads in a trade Jan. 8, is listed 19th among domestic goaltenders. He has appeared in two games with the Mooseheads and has a 1-0-0 record.

Brault, 18, Mooseheads sixth round (90) pick in 2003, is ranked 93 among domestic skaters He has played in eight games with the Mooseheads before being injured, with no points and a plus 3 rating.

Saulnier, 17, Mooseheads round five (65) selection in 2003, is listed 168. In 34 games with the Mooseheads this year, Saulnier has scored 3 goals and 4 assists.

In addition, three other players from the Mooseheads protected list have been ranked by NHL Central Scouting.

Philippe Paquet, 17, a 6'03, 200 lb defenceman currently playing with Salisbury in the US High School East league, is ranked 65th overall by Central Scouting. He was drafted by the Mooseheads in round nine (130) of the 2004 QMJHL Entry Draft.

Pat Cullity, 17, a 6'01, 190 lb defenceman, drafted by the Mooseheads in round 10 (146) of the 2004 QMJHL draft and currently playing with Berkshire of the USHSE league, is listed at number 181 by the NHL.

Kyle Koziera, 18, 6'04, 212 lb defenceman, Mooseheads' round 14 (223) pick in 2003, is listed 240th. He is currently playing at Cushing Academy in the USHSE league.
