Six Mammoth players on NLL All-Star ballot

DENVER - The Colorado Mammoth has six players on the ballot for the 2008 National Lacrosse League All-Star Game, to be played March 16 in Edmonton, Alberta.

Fan balloting is underway and available exclusively through the NLL's online community at NLL.com/Community.

Mammoth forwards Dan Carey, Brian Langtry and Gavin Prout, transition player Josh Sims, defenseman John Gallant, and goaltender Gee Nash are on the 2008 ballot.

Balloting is open until midnight on Sunday, Feb. 24. Fans may submit one ballot per day and can vote for the starting lineups for both the East and West division teams.

Fans will select a starting lineup for the East and West teams, consisting of three forwards, one transition player, one defensemen and one goaltender. The fan vote will combine with the votes of league media and team general managers and head coaches to determine the starting lineups.

The reserve players will be selected by the All-Star Game coaches. Each All-Star team will feature 16 runners and two goaltenders. Each of the league's 12 member clubs will be represented.
