The Florida State League Player of the Week for the period June 21-27, 2004 was announced today.
Brandon Sing, First Baseman, Daytona Cubs was the Player of the Week. In six games he collected nine hits in 16 plate appearances for a .563 batting average. Three of his hits were homeruns. He scored nine runs and drove in eight runners. His slugging percentage was 1.125 and his OBP was .741. Brandon leads the league with 21 homeruns and 61 RBI's. Sing is in his sixth year of professional baseball and was with West Tenn last season. His hometown is Joliet, Illinois.
