
Sims Receives IFL Special Teams Honor

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -Bloomington Extreme's Caril Sims was named Special Teams Player of the Week by the IFL as announced by the league office.
Sims recorded a 57-yard kickoff return midway through the second quarter to solidify a Bloomington Extreme win over the Maryland Maniacs, 50-12, last Saturday at the U.S. Cellular Coliseum. He also displayed his offensive skills when he hauled in a 15-yard touchdown pass from Ronnie Simpson.
The victory marks the fifth-straight win for Bloomington and closes out the regular season. The Extreme will have three-consecutive bye weeks before the upcoming IFL playoffs next month beginning July 18.The Extreme will host a home playoff game either July 18 or July 25 depending upon the final conference standing results.
