Keltie Jeri-Leon was third up for the T-Birds and needed to score to extend the shootout. Jeri-Leon was not able to convert.

Seattle took a 1-0 lead at 4:49 of the first period. Rybinski forced a turnover along the right boards. The puck came to Jeri-Leon in the right circle and he beat Wolf with a wrist shot over the left shoulder for his team leading 14th goal of the season.

Kevin Korchinski made a great play from his knees at the blue to backhand the puck up the ice to create a partial break for Rybinski. Rybinski skated in on Wolf and beat the goalie with a snapshot over the glove for his fifth goal of the season.

Everett cut the T-Birds lead to one at 9:43 of the second on a goal from Austin Roest.
