Sudbury Wolves News Release

The Sudbury Wolves will have a new face in the line-up on Friday night as the Wolves have called-up 17-year-old forward Michael Silveri from the Powassan Voodoos of the NOJHL. Silveri, 6'3", 200 lbs, was selected in the sixth round of the 2013 OHL draft by the Wolves.

Silveri is expected to add a physical presence to the Wolves' line-up along with Dylan Callaghan, 18, who will also suit-up for the Wolves this weekend. Callaghan plays for the Sudbury Nickel Barons Jr. A team.

So far this season, Silveri has recorded 8 points in 11 games with the Jr. A Voodoos. Last season, Silveri finished in second-place in team scoring with the North Bay Trappers Midgets with 45 points in 30 league games.

Callaghan and Silveri will be replacing injured forwards Jacob Harris and Brady Pataki. Wolves' 1st round selection Michael Pezzetta will also be out of the line-up as he is preparing to play for Team Canada in the U17 World Challenge Cup tournament in Sarnia, Ontario.

The Wolves will host Jakob Chychrun and the Sarnia Sting on Friday night before travelling to Niagara for a tilt with the IceDogs on Saturday. The Wolves will wrap-up their 3-in-3 weekend with a game in London against the Knights on Sunday.
