Silver Sox Run Over by Roadrunners

Reno Silver Sox News Release
The Reno Silver Sox weren't able to do much to stop the offense of the St. George Roadrunners last night, May 30, losing 18 - 5.
Once again, the Silver Sox took the lead in the first inning scoring two runs, unfortunately that was the highlight in this game for the Silver Sox.
Silver Sox starter Mike Reeves wasn't able to find a solid groove against the Roadrunners and was pulled after only pitching two innings. Reeves allowed 10 earned runs off of five hits and five walks and struck out only one Roadrunner batter.
Relief pitcher Mario Guilin and starter Jason Cline, who pitched on just three days rest, weren't able to do much better as they both pitched three innings a piece, each allowing four runs to score and struck out only two.
On offense the Silver Sox were led by outfielders Ryan Crespi and Steven Wright. Crespi went 2 - 4 scoring a run and knocking in another. Wright, went 1 - 2 with a homerun.
The Silver Sox play the Roadrunners one more time today, May 31, before retuning home for a two game series against the Long Beach Armada on Wednesday, June 4, with a first pitch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. Don?t forget fans that Wednesday, June 4, is also Family Night at Peccole Park. Just $14 gets an entire family General Admission tickets for Wednesday Night?s game.
