San Jose Earthquakes News Release
#SilenceTheSounders: Not only a hashtag, it's a goal shared by the Quakes & their fans. When Sounders FC arrive at Avaya Stadium on Saturday, they'll be met by the deafening cheers and chants of the black and blue faithful ahead of a crucial battle with their northern rivals. They'll battle for the Heritage Cup, currently in San Jose's possession, but more importantly for prime positioning in the MLS Cup Playoff race. Sitting at 31 points, one behind the Quakes' 32, the sixth playoff spot currently held by Portland is well within reach for the two clubs.
To mark the occasion, assistant equipment manager Eric Weber, who you may remember from his NYCFC, California Clasico & 20th Anniversary Celebration illustrations & his brother Terry have graced us with another intense depiction of Saturday's affair. For the first time, The Weber Brothers' illustration will be available to fans as a limited giveaway at the Avaya Stadium Gates. Here's what you need to know!
The first 5,000 fans in attendance will receive prints of the limited edition poster Post to social media with the hashtag #SilenceTheSounders to win a game-worn Quakes jersey or seat upgrades during the game! Features Seattle Sounders FC fans invading San Jose from Seattle & Bingham standing his ground with the help of Krazy George & other Quakes fans
