
Sigurdarson, Soucier Receive NAHL Honors

On Monday, the North American Hockey League announced the Easton Divisional Stars of the Week. Receiving honorable mentions were two Aberdeen Wings forwards.
Wings forward #21 Bjorn Sigurdarson (F-Reykjavik, Iceland) received honors for his two goals in the 5-4 shootout victory over Brookings on Saturday. Sigurdarson scored both goals in regulation in the first four minutes of the second period. He also scored in the shootout. He now has 7 goals and 4 assists on the year.
Wings forward #13 Michael Soucier (F-Caledon, Ontario) received honors in the 5-4 shootout victory as well. In the game, Soucier offered an assist to a goal for #18 Austin Swingle (F-St. Cloud, MN). With 52 seconds left in regulation, down 4-3, Soucier scored his 8th goal of the season to send the game into overtime, and eventually a shootout.
The Aberdeen Wings are at home this Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. The Minot Minotauros come into town on Wednesday when the first 50 fans through the gates will receive a $3 off coupon to the concession stand. Also Wednesday, enjoy Skate With The Wings after the game. On Friday and Saturday, the Wings take on the Austin Bruins at the Odde Ice Center. Friday night is Free Kids Friday. Kids 12 and under are free with the purchase of an adult general admission ticket. Saturday night is High School Night. Show your valid current HS I.D. for $2 off admission.
