Sidewinders to Host North Division Teams Portland and Salt Lake

Tucson, AZ – The Tucson Sidewinders return home on Tuesday, May 27 to host a four game series against the Portland Beavers (San Diego Padres) and another four against the Salt Lake Stingers (Anaheim Angels). The homestand is highlighted by Pepsi Little League Night on Friday, May 30th, Post-Memorial Day Fireworks on Saturday, May 31th and Sidewinders Travel Mugs to the first 2000 fans with a paid admission on Sunday, June 1st.

Good seats remain for all games. The Tucson Electric Park box office can be reached at (520) 434-1021. Gates open one hour before game time unless otherwise noted.

Tuesday, May 27, 6:30 p.m. vs. Portland Beavers (Gates Open 5:30) – "TUCSON TOROS TUESDAY" – Come turn back the clock as your Sidewinders dress in traditional Tucson Toros uniforms. In addition, a special commemorative Toros program will be for sale, there will be throwback prices on some concessions and Toros merchandise will be on sale in the Team Shop. Look for discounted tickets in the Arizona Daily Star and Tucson Citizen.

Wednesday, May 28, 6:30 p.m. vs. Portland Beavers (Gates Open 5:30) – "WE CARE WEDNESDAY" – The Sidewinders donate thousands of tickets to Pima County for distribution to charities and fundraisers of their choice.

Thursday, May 29, 6:30 p.m. vs. Portland Beavers (Gates Open 5:30) – "THIRSTY THURSDAY LIVE" – Be a part of a Tucson tradition and enjoy $1 beer and soft drinks for 2 hours after the first pitch. As a twist, laugh even more to stand-up comedy on the dugouts between innings! Register to tell your joke at any Fry's Food & Drug location.

Friday, May 30, 6:30 p.m. vs. Portland Beavers (Gates Open 5:30) – "PEPSI LITTLE LEAGUE NIGHT" – All Little Leaguers get a free ticket from their local Little League Association. Come out for one of the biggest nights of the year and help us salute future Major Leaguers today!

Saturday, May 31, 6:30 p.m. vs. Salt Lake (Gates Open 5:30) – "POST-MEMORIAL DAY FIREWORKS NIGHT" – Always the biggest and the best, come celebrate the Memorial Day weekend the weekend after! Post-game fireworks will be choreographed to special music to honor our military. Discounted general admission Family coupons available at all three Sam Levitz locations.

Sunday, June 1, 6:30 p.m. vs. Salt Lake (Gates Open 5:30) – "DOLLAR DOGS & SIDEWINDERS TRAVEL MUGS" – The first 2000 fans with a paid admission will receive a 32 oz. Sidewinders travel mug absolutely free! Enjoy $1 hot dogs at every Sunday home game—and the first 300 are free at the Signature Food Stand!

Monday, June 2, 7:00 p.m. vs. Salt Lake (Gates Open 6:00) – "MARIACHI MONDAY" – Come watch some of the best of Southern Arizona's amateur mariachi groups perform before and throughout the game in the Groves. Enjoy 2-for-1 margaritas. Complimentary tickets are available at all Quik Mart locations.
