Dallas Sidekicks News Release
Allen, Texas - The Dallas Sidekicks have announced the signing of standout defender J Rio Ramirez to the 2021-22 season roster.
Ramirez has his mark in the outdoor soccer world making his mark in the NPSL playing for the Fort Worth Vaqueros and then most recently with North Texas Soccer Club. He had one stint in the MASL with the Mesquite Outlaws as well.
How do you feel about joining the Sidekicks organization?
It's amazing! Growing up, my coaches played for this organization and now for me to be a part of it is an unreal feeling.
What impact do you want to make this season?
I hope I can do my part defensively and offensively. I want to have better numbers than my first season in the league.
How do you feel coming in to play for Coach Ricardinho?
From coming to the games as a fan, I would admire the way he played. When training with FC Dallas I would see him there and he would give me pointers and helped me out. I will do my best not to let him down.
What are your expectations for yourself and the team this year?
My objective is to help the team make playoffs this year.
The next home game is this Thursday, December 30th at 7:00 PM against the St. Louis Ambush. Doors open at 6:00 PM at the Credit Union of Texas Event Center.
