Sicard to take the Ice Again for Havoc

HUNTSVILLE, AL - Huntsville Havoc Head Coach Randy Murphy announced today that the team has re-signed forward Dennis Sicard and signed forward Nick Jennette.
Sicard (5-11, 190) played in eight games for the Havoc last season after being acquired in a trade with Richmond. He also played in five playoff games and scored three goals and recorded an assist. He has played in 99 career games in the SPHL and the CHL and scored nine goals, recorded 15 assists and acquired 392 penalty minutes. He played in 14 collegiate games and SUNY-Buffalo in 2006-07 and scored three goals and recorded nine assists. He also played in 133 career junior games and scored 41 goals, recorded 70 assists and had 514 penalty minutes.
"We are excited to see Dennis in a Havoc uniform for a full season," Murphy said. "Last year he definitely brought a lot of energy and presence out on the ice. He also had a great playoff which is great to see. He will be relied upon in multiple ways to contribute to our forward group."
"I'm so pleased to be returning to Huntsville," Sicard said. "I loved the short time I spent there last season. The fans were the best I have been around since I've been playing. I just want to help the team win anyway that I can. I want to be the hardest working guy on the ice night in and night out and lead by example."
Jennette (5-7, 170) played in 111 games at Lawrence University from 2005-2009. He scored 48 goals and recorded 55 assists for 103 total points. He set a Lawrence school record with 18 goals as a junior in 2007-08 and was named the Most Valuable Player. He served as the Team Captain his senior season and was an Assistant Team Captain his junior year.
"Nick is another first year pro with a boat load of potential," Murphy said. "He is possesses great speed and the ability to create offensively. We look for Nick to bring these elements from collegiate hockey to the pro game."
