MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The Biscuits (14-20) suffered a tough extra-inning loss on Thursday night, falling to the Biloxi Shuckers (22-12) in the fourth game of the five-game set, 3-2, in 10 innings at Riverwalk Stadium.

Eduar Lopez made his seventh start for the Butter and Blue and looked sharp, going six innings-his longest Double-A outing so far-and scattering just two runs on five hits with two walks and three strikeouts in a no-decision.

Jake Gatewood got the Shuckers on the board first in the third with a sac fly to put Biloxi ahead 1-0. In the sixth, Tyler Heineman added a sac fly of his own to double that lead to 2-0.

Former big leaguer Adrian Houser started the game for the Shuckers, and allowed just two Montgomery hits-a Nick Solak double in the first, and a Michael Russell single in the fifth-retiring 11 consecutive batters in between the two knocks before being removed for Quiton Torres-Costa.

In the seventh, the Biscuits finally got their first run on a Torres-Costa wild pitch that scored Brandon Lowe after the left fielder doubled earlier in the inning. Brett Sullivan delivered a game-tying sac fly to score Dalton Kelly later in the inning to knot things up at two.

The game ultimately moved into extra innings, where the new pace of play rule put a baserunner at second in the top of the 10th in Darren Seferina, who came on to pinch run for Jake Gatewood. After Mitch Ghelfi flew out to center and Jake Hager was put on with an intentional walk, Heineman would bring home Seferina with the game-winning run on an RBI-single.

In the bottom of the 10th, the Biscuits had runners at the corners with only one out, but Thomas Milone grounded into a controversial, inning-ending 3-6-3 double play in which the Biscuits center fielder was called out on a dangerously close play at first.

The loss means the Biscuits will play their fourth-straight rubber match on Friday night when the Montgomery bullpen takes on Kodi Medeiros (3-1) at 6:35 PM when it will be Family Faith Night with a Faith Radio Pre-Game Concert & MAX Fireworks at Riverwalk Stadium.

The rest of the 10-game home stand will feature Military Appreciation Night & MAX Fireworks on Saturday, May 12, and Rays Night featuring Tampa Bay Rays Mascot Appearance and Rays Baseball Giveaway on Sunday, May 13.
