JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Miami Marlins announced a transaction that impacts their Double-A affiliate Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp roster prior to tonight's game against the Tennessee Smokies at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville at 7:05 p.m.

Miami Marlins right-handed pitcher Elieser Hernandez has returned to the Marlins big league roster from his rehab assignment and has been reinstated from Miami's 10-day disabled list. With the Jumbo Shrimp in two starts, Hernandez had no wins or losses and a 4.00 ERA with 10 strikeouts in his nine innings of work. Hernandez was sidelined due to dental surgery in spring training, and is in his first season with the Marlins after he was selected in the major league phase of the 2017 Rule 5 draft from the Houston Astros.

The Jumbo Shrimp roster stands at 25 active players.

The Jumbo Shrimp continue their series with Tennessee at 7:05 p.m. Thursday - National Shrimp Day. Boom Boom Shrimp and a 16-oz. beer will be $15 at the Southern Fried concession stand. Gates open at 6 p.m. for Budweiser Thirsty Thursday, with live music at the Budweiser Tiki Terrace by DJ Swagg and DJ MoneyGud, $1 12-oz. and $2 24-oz. beers at select locations, plus $1 sodas at the main concession stands. Nurses Night is presented by Memorial Hospital. The game is also presented by Cox Media.
