Aberdeen Wings defenseman Adam Shuchart has announced his commitment to play Division III hockey at Norwich University in Northfield, VT.
Shuchart, a 6'1 ¬Â³, 190 lb. defenseman from Marietta, GA, appeared in 27 games for the Aberdeen Wings during the regular season, as well as seven playoff game appearances, notching two assists in that time. He also recorded one goal in ten games with the Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks before becoming a Wing in the 2021-22 season.
He previously played for New Hampton High School for three years, where he scored 16 goals and added 42 assists in 108 games played, before joining the NAHL in the 2020-21 season.
"I'm incredibly honored and excited to announce my commitment to Norwich University," Shuchart said. "I want to thank my family, friends, coaches and the Aberdeen community for supporting me through the process."
"Adam joined us via trade this year and adapted well to our style of play," Wings head coach Steve Jennings said. "Over the course of the season, he steadily grew his role with us and became a player we came to rely on for quality minutes. Norwich is getting a great player and person; I know he will do well there."
