Coastal Bend Aviators News Release

ROBSTOWN, TEXAS - The Coastal Bend Aviators fell in Game Two of a three game series against the Shreveport Sports.

Brandon Pello had a formidable outing, pitching eight innings in the loss. Pello struck out eight, walked two, and surrendered three runs, of which only one was earned. A key error in the second inning allowed the first run to score for the Sports. Eventually the run would come back to haunt the Aviators in the 3-2 loss. Pello was named Defensive Player of the Game in a valiant effort.

The offensive charge was led by catcher Stephen Morales. Morales accounted for two of the five hits and drove in a run. Lead off hitter Andy Wilson hit a solo home run in the bottom of the first inning and was followed up with a double by Bryon Smith. One hitter later, Morales drove in Smith with his first hit, as he was awarded the Offensive Player of the Game.
