
Shorebirds To Hold Annual Family Fun Fest On April 3rd

Your Delmarva Shorebirds are preparing to kick-off their 15th anniversary season with their Annual Family Fun Fest event at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium! On Saturday, April 3rd beginning at 9AM, the Shorebirds will open its doors to kick off the 2010 season with a bang! Once again the Froggy 99.9 Easter Egg Hunt, the Q105 Camp Fair and Kiss 105.5 National Anthem Auditions will headline the event. Also making special appearances at the event will be SHERMAN the Shorebird and the Easter Bunny.
The Froggy 99.9 Easter Egg Hunts will run from 10AM to Noon with three separate hunts scheduled to accommodate children of all ages. The Toddler crawl for children under 4, will begin at 10AM. The egg hunt for children ages 5 to 8 will begin at 11AM, and for children ages 9-12 will begin at 11:45AM. For each hunt, thousands of colored eggs will be spread across the outfield, more than enough for all kids to enjoy, and at the end of each hunt kids can take their plastic eggs to the "Candy Aisle" and turn them in for an assortment of Easter candy. This is a Bring Your Own Basket event and parents are required to fill out a waiver/participation form, so get here early. Registration for the Egg Hunts will begin at 9AM.
The Q105 Camp Fair will take place on the 2nd level concourse of Perdue Stadium and will host dozens of local summer camps for you and your children to meet and gather information on. Camps are still signing up, but you can expect a wide array to be in attendance. Camps that are already signed up for this year's event are Mitchell's Martial Arts' Camp X, Camp Odyssey, Salisbury Baptist Temple, Camp Pecometh, Wicomico Parks & Recreation, Wor-Wic Community College, Mid Shore YMCA, and Salisbury Christian School. The Camp Fair runs from 9AM to Noon.
The Kiss 105.5 National Anthem Auditions will be held from 10AM to Noon on home plate of Perdue Stadium. So if you think you have what it takes to sing in-front of thousands of fans, come on out and sign up! Even if you have performed here at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium before you do need to try out again for the 2010 season.
Best of all, individual game tickets for the upcoming 15th Anniversary season will officially go on sale. Do not miss out on the first opportunity to lock in the best seats to the biggest games of the season highlighted by 17 FIREWORKS Spectaculars, appearances by Reggy, Spongebob Squarepants, and Myron Noodleman, the Jayson Werth & Brad Bergesen Bobbleheads and many more exciting promotional evenings.
If that's not enough, you can hang out with SHERMAN and the Easter Bunny, ride the carousel, hop on the moon bounce, and have chance to win fabulous Shorebird prizes thanks to the Shorebirds Fan Club who will have carnival style games set-up for everyone to play!
