Kannapolis Intimidators Announce 2010 Promotional Schedule

KANNAPOLIS, NC - With less than three weeks to go until Opening Day 2010 on April 8th, the Kannapolis Intimidators, the Single-A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox, are pleased to announce their promotional schedule for the upcoming season. As always, the promotional schedule will be highlighted by a number of traditional favorites, like fireworks and Thirsty Thursday, as well as a host of new promotions making their debut at Fieldcrest Cannon Stadium.

"I think the fans are really going to be excited about what we have to offer this season with our promotions," Intimidators General Manager Randy Long said. "In addition to keeping the fan-favorites from the past, we have also added a lot of new nights that our fans are going to love."

Every Friday and Saturday game features a spectacular fireworks display following the game. The Intimidators will also have an Independence Day Celebration with post-game fireworks as well, giving the team a record-tying 23 shows this season. Thursdays will continue to be Thirsty Thursdays, sponsored by Fatz Café with discounted beverages, Fatz Café Calabash Chicken and Pizza Hut Wing Street wings for.50 cents. Every Sunday will be a Family Fun Day, with a pre-game player autograph session, special in-game activities and kids run the bases after the game. Tuesdays will feature a KRAFT Singles Tuesday Night Ticket Offer with two-for-one tickets with a Proof of Purchase and select souvenirs and concession products with the same two-for-one deal. Tuesdays also are Senior Night with baseball bingo for all fans.

New for this season are Belly Buster Mondays, where $10 all-you-can-eat passes will be available and Wet Your Whistle Wednesday, which features discounted beverages and food specials. Ladies Night, sponsored by Mary Kay and Joe's Sports Bar K-Dator Krazies Night as well as trivia will occur on Wednesdays.

Other promotions for this season include the popular Kannapolis Heritage Night Historical Building Giveaway with the first 1,000 fans receiving a replica of the famous YMCA building on August 7th. The Intimidators will be giving away team photos to the first 1,000 fans on May 1st and Gem Theatre movie tickets to the first 500 fans on June 28th.

New promotions, among others, include Bark in the Park on Sunday, May 16th where fans are encouraged to bring their dogs to the stadium and Nine Innings of Networking on the last Wednesday of each month (excluding June).

The Intimidators will also have five games with non-traditional start times. There will be three education days on April 14th, April 27th and June 2nd with a 10:05 am start time, one 11:05 am camp day on July 27th and a Memorial Day Matinee on May 31st at 1:05 pm featuring an all-you-can-eat picnic.
