SALISBURY, MD - In another pitcher's duel, the Kannapolis Intimidators drop a 1-0 contest to the Delmarva Shorebirds in game one of a three game series in Salisbury, MD on Monday night. Justin Collop pitched well and did not factor in the decision and Kenny Moreland picked up his second win of the year.

Collop went six innings and had trouble in only one inning, the fourth, but he worked out of two on and no one out with a pair of strikeouts to throw a clean inning and a clean outing. He allowed just four hits and two walks with five strikeouts.

Collop's counterpart, Moreland, went an equally as strong seven innings and stayed in the ballgame long enough to pick up the win. Moreland (2-2) allowed just three hits and walked one with three strikeouts.

In the seventh off of Garrett Johnson (2-2) the lone run was scored as he led the inning off walking Tyler Stampone on four pitches, he was bunted to second before Garabez Rosa doubled Stampone home for the lone run of the ballgame. Nick Haughian pitched a clean eighth and Josh Dowdy picked up a save in a 1-2-3 ninth.

The Intimidators (30-33) look to split the series at a game each with the Shorebirds (27-37) as Matt Hopps takes to the mound at 7:05 on Tuesday against Robert Bundy.
