STAT OF THE DAY: The last Shorebird to hit ten homers in a season was Tyler Kolodny in 2010. Connor Narron (7), Nicky Delmonico (6) and Brenden Webb (6) are all on pace for 10+. The '08 season was the last time multiple players had 10+ home runs.

PREVIEW: The Shorebirds look to rebound in game three from a 12-3 defeat on Friday night. Kannapolis scored 11 unanswered runs on 19 hits between the fourth and eighth innings. The Shorebirds recorded just one hit between the fourth and ninth innings. The Shorebirds have lost five straight games to Kannapolis dating back to the first half.

20 DOUBLES: Nicky Delmonico recorded his 20th double last night in the first inning. Delmonico leads the Shorebirds and ranks sixth in the South Atlantic League with 20 doubles. He also leads the Orioles farm system in doubles. Mike Flacco lead the Shorebirds last season with 20 doubles. The franchise record for doubles in a single season is 42, set by current manager Ryan Minor back in 1997.

FOUR-GAMER FOR SAWYER: Wynston Sawyer has hit safely in four straight games (6-for-16, .375). His season long hit streak is five games (6/2-6/8). Sawyer has back-to-back multi-hit games for the first time this season.

3 STRAIGHT WITH 2B: Lino has one double in each of his last three games played. Three of his last four total hits and five of his last seven hits have been doubles. Lino has six doubles in 13 games in June. He had seven total doubles in his first 38 games this season.

RISP DISCREPANCY IN SERIES: Through two games in this series, the Shorebirds are 3-for-17 (.176) when hitting with runners in scoring position. The Intimidators are 15-for-29 (.517). The Shorebirds have stranded 16 base runners in the series.

BAKER'S PERFECT: David Baker retired all 11 batters that came to the plate against him yesterday. He has now retired 26 consecutive batters over his last four appearances. Baker has tossed 8.2 perfect innings in the month of June.
