PREVIEW: The Shorebirds scored a season high ten runs in a game one 10-3 over the Greenville Drive heading into game two. The Shorebirds are 1-3 on the current road trip. The Shorebirds remain two games back of the Hickory Crawdads in the Northern Division.

LORENZO FINDING GROOVE: Gregory Lorenzo recorded his first home run of the season last night (4th of career) and his first four-hit day of the season (4th of career). Lorenzo's batting average jumped by 32 points from .203 to .235 after his big day. Lorenzo has hit safely in five straight games.

BOSS HOMERING: Torsten Boss has homered in back-to-back games. Boss did not homer in the first 17 games of the season. He went 2-for-2 with a home run, three RBIs and three walks last night. Boss is hitting .233, which is his highest average since going 1-for-4 (.250) on opening night.

HUTTER ON A TEAR: Joel Hutter has hit safely in six straight games (11-for-23, .478). Hutter has ten multi-hit games in 21 games played. He ranks third in the league in batting average (.373), second in hits (31) and 11th in on-base percentage (.424).

TOP BATTING AVERAGE: The Shorebirds are batting .284 as a team this year, tops in the South Atlantic League. The Shorebirds have recorded ten or more hits 11 times this season. They rank second in the league in total hits (212, 9.6 per game).

20 GAME ON-BASE FOR WALKER: Christian Walker extended his 20-game on-base streak last night with a 2-for-4 against the Drive. He has hit safely in 18 of 21 games this season. Walker ranks fifth in the league in batting average (.361), ninth in hits (28), tied for 13th in RBIs (14) and fourth in on-base percentage (.449).
