Spokane Shock News Release

The Spokane Shock announced today that FB/LB Joe Lobendahn and DB Nick Denbeigh have been assigned to their roster by the league office.

Denbeigh, a Spokane native, finished his senior season at Eastern Washington University in 2006 and compiled 31 total tackles, one interception, one fumble recovery, and one blocked kick. His junior season he was named to the Big Sky Conference All-Academic team and ranked 21st in tackles averaging six tackles per game. Denbeigh, 5'10" 195, was invited to an open try out held earlier this season by Coach Shackleford and was the only player who was offered an opportunity to be a part of the team.

Lobendahn, a University of Washington graduate, played in 47 games as a Husky and tallied 214 total tackles with seven sacks. The Honolulu-native was a Butkuss award nominee and Team Captain his senior season.

"Both of these players are local favorites and they have the potential to make a significant impact on the team," Head Coach Adam Shackleford said.

Shackleford and his staff are preparing for their home-opener against the Stockton Lightning on March 31st. Season tickets are on sale now and can be purchased by calling 509 242 7462.
