Spokane Shock News Release
March 16, 2007- The Spokane Shock announced today that WR Lynzell Jackson and LB Kelvin Morris have been assigned to their 2007 roster by the arenafootball2 League Office.
Jackson, 6'3" 200, finished his collegiate career at Weber State University. In 2006, he played in 11 games and compiling 672 yards receiving, averaging just over 60 yards per game. Immediately after completing his collegiate career, he signed a free-agent contract with the Carolina Panthers before being released at the end of their training camp.
"When I got this job, Lynzell was the first player I called," Head Coach Adam Shackleford said. "He is a very special receiver who will fit in very well with my offense."
Morris, 6'3" 214, comes to the Shock after completing a collegiate career that included time at West Georgia and Clemson University. As a senior in 2005 he compiled 76 total tackles, 7.5 sacks, one interception and a forced fumble while at West Georgia. He was also named Gulf South Conference Defensive Player of the Year, only the second player in West Georgia to receive this award.
"Kelvin is one of the most athletic players we have on this team: he's quick, he has great footwork and he has a ton of heart," Shackleford said. "I'm expecting big things out of Lynzell and Kelvin both this season."
