The Owen Sound Attack has named sophomore forward Steven Shipley the Becker Shoes Attacker of the Week for the week ending Monday, December 14, 2009.
In three games this past week the Ilderton, ON. native notched 3 goals and an assist.
Shipley notched his first two goals of the week against the nation's #3 ranked team, the Barrie Colts. The 17 year old also picked up an assist in a 5-4 overtime loss. The third goal of the week for Shipley was the Attack's Official Teddy Bear Toss goal for 2009/2010 on Saturday evening against the visiting Kingston Frontenacs.
Overall, Shipley finished with 3 goals and 1 assist to bring his season total to 11 goals and 35 points.
The Attack is back in action at home this Saturday when Shipley and his mates play host to the Oshawa Generals. Game time is 7:30pm.
