Colorado Mammoth News Release
DENVER - One day after the new coaching staff was named by the Colorado Mammoth, the organization welcomed back another familiar face. Forward Jamie Shewchuk was signed to the team's 20-man Active Roster on Thursday.
"I'm happy to be back and have the opportunity to play again in my favorite lacrosse city, in my favorite building, with the best fans," said Shewchuk. "The bottom line is we need to string some wins together. We owe it to ourselves and we owe it to the fans."
The 28-year-old was a second-round draft pick by Colorado in the 2006 NLL Entry Draft. This is Shewchuk's third stint with the Mammoth, having amassed 111 goals and 143 assists in his tenure with the team. The Edmonton native has also spent time with the Minnesota Swarm, and is just two points shy of 300 in his career.
Shewchuk led the Mammoth with 31 goals and 66 points in 2010. He currently resides in Denver.
