Mississippi RiverKings News Release
SOUTHAVEN, Miss. -- Mississippi RiverKings Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Derek Landmesser announced today that the team has signed defenseman Tyler Sheldrake. Terms and conditions were not released.
Sheldrake, 24, comes to the RiverKings after spending the earlier portion of the season with the Wichita Thunder of the Central Hockey League. Last season, the 6-foot-0, 200-pound native of Dunnville, Ontario tallied nine points (2G, 7A) and racked up 189 penalty minutes in 47 games.
To make room for Sheldrake, the team placed defenseman Ryan Hill on the 30-day Injured Reserve. Hill, 25, appeared in all six games for the RiverKings and was +1.
The RiverKings return to the Landers Center tonight and tomorrow night for a pair of weekend games. Both games start at 7:05 p.m. Tickets start at $5 and are available through ticketmaster.com or by calling the RiverKings front office at 662-342-1755.
