Sharks to Team up with Beaches Community Kitchen

JACKSONVILLE - In the days before Thanksgiving, the 2013 South Division Champion Jacksonville Sharks will team up with the Beaches Community Kitchen to help serve those in need on the afternoon of Tuesday, November 26.

Members of the Sharks' front office will help assemble and deliver Thanksgiving baskets to frail, elderly, disabled or homebound residents in the beaches area. The Sharks and Beaches Community Kitchen will gather at Fr. Murphy Hall in Jacksonville Beach at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday to prepare the baskets.

Beaches Community Kitchen is a non-profit organization that prepares and delivers meals to needy, elderly or disabled people struggling to maintain independent living. Founded in 1991, the volunteer-driven organization serves over 6,500 meals annually, and is dedicated to providing a much-needed human touch that is often lost in the scope of larger organizations.
