
Sharks Sign Second Team All-NAL Lineman Fred Ruff

JACKSONVILLE - Offensive Lineman Fred Ruff (6'6, 330) signed with the Jacksonville Sharks for his third season of arena football.
Last season, Ruff played on a dominant offensive line with the Massachusetts Pirates, who finished the regular season as the number one seed with an 11-5 record. The Pirates offensive line helped quarterback Sean Brackett win the 2018 NAL MVP award by throwing for 4,013 yards and 86 passing touchdowns. He also had one catch for eight yards and one touchdown. On the ground, Ruff helped lead the Pirates to rush for 336 yards and 23 rushing touchdowns. Ruff also earned 2018 Second Team All-NAL honors as an offensive lineman. In 2016, Ruff started his career with the Sioux Falls Storm of the Indoor Football League where he helped the Storm to a United Bowl victory.
Ruff attended New Mexico Highlands University and played Offensive Tackle during the 2013 season. Ruff is a native of Philadelphia, PA and attended high school at Hargrave Military Academy in Chatham, VA.
