
Sharks Sign Dolphin Alumn

Jacksonville Sharks News Release
The Jacksonville Sharks are still adjusting their wide receiver core in preparation for the Tampa Bay Storm and have signed Wide Receiver Chris Kuck to the roster on June 23, 2011.
To create space on the roster wide receiver Mike Hicks has been placed on re-assignment.
Kuck (6'2, 210) played for Jacksonville University. During his four years under Coach Kerwin Bell's scheme Kuck played Tight End and caught 46 passes for 735 yards and 12 touchdowns during his collegiate career. Kuck is tied for fifth all-time in receiving touchdowns for the JU Dolphins. He earned all PFL honorable mention in 2008 and 2009. During his junior season Kuck caught 12 receptions for 215 yards and five touchdowns and was hailed as one of the top pass catching tight ends in the PFL.
Chris Kuck is a native of Marathon, FL. He started at both Quarterback and Strong Safety for his final three years at Marathon High School He was an all state honorable mention as a senior where he led his team to the district championship and third place in the state as a senior after rushing for 1,105 yards and 12 touchdowns, as well as throwing for 305 yards and three touchdowns before his season ended after four games due to an ACL .As a junior Kuck threw for 1,200 yards and nine touchdowns as well as rushing for 1,100 yards and 15 touchdowns. He also recorded 77 tackles as the starting strong safety. He was named all county and all-state honorable mention. As a sophomore he rushed for 300 yards and three touchdowns as well as passing for 95 yards and one touchdown. He recorded 85 tackles, three sacks and three interceptions on defense and earned all-state honors on defense. Additionally he led the Marathon baseball team to the district championship three years in a row and was a four-year starter and all-county performer in the sport. Kuck was a member of the honor roll his junior and senior years.
